Many travellers have used social media to vent their frustration and fury about the airline's alleged incompetence in response to the incident, which has drawn intense criticism online.

More than 60 passengers aboard SpiceJet flight SG 8151, travelling from Delhi to Bengaluru, expressed distress over their experience when they were confined to the aircraft on the tarmac at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi for nearly 12 hours. They alleged mishandling by the crew during the ordeal.

One passenger, who had a connecting flight and ended up spending over 24 hours at Delhi airport before reaching Bengaluru, expressed frustration, emphasizing that no one should have to endure such an experience.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the pilot failed to report to work on Friday, the scheduled departure time of 7:40 p.m. for Bengaluru, resulting in an indefinite delay of the flight.

This forced all of the passengers—older people, kids, and women in particular—to remain confined to the aeroplane on the Delhi runway.
Their annoyance was exacerbated by the airline's lack of contact and the provision of basic facilities like food and refreshments.

To make matters worse, passengers had to spend an additional hour on the aircraft without air conditioning. The aircraft arrived in Bengaluru early on Saturday morning.

SpiceJet Airlines has not yet released an official statement responding to the complaints made by the passengers.
