Dhananjay faces a strong challenge from Rajasaheb Deshmukh
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Dhananjay secured a victory on an undivided NCP ticket. This time, he is up against Rajasaheb Deshmukh, who has been nominated by the NCP (SP).
Key Candidates in the 2024 Parli Assembly Election
Dhondiram Laxman Ujgare from BSP, Shaker Ahmed Shaikh, Hidayat Sadekhali Syed, and Altaf Khajamiya Syed, all contesting as Independents, are among the key candidates. Rajesaheb Shrikishan Deshmukh is representing NCP-SP, while Dhananjay Panditrao Munde and Sahas Pandharinath Adode are from NCP and MWMM, respectively. Kedarnath Vaijnath Jadhav is contesting under PAWPOI, and Bhagwat Babanrao Vaidya is from VIKIP. Dayanand Narayan Landge and Rajesaheb Alias Rajebhau Subhash Deshmukh are also running as Independents.
2019 Parli Assembly Election
In the 2019 elections, Dhananjay Munde of the NCP emerged victorious, winning by a significant margin of 30,701 votes. He secured 122,114 votes, representing 54.45% of the vote share. Notable candidates who were defeated include NABISAB SAB SAYYED (Independent), Anant Vaijnath Gaikwad (BSP), and Pankaja Gopinathrao Munde (BJP).
2014 Parli Assembly Election
In the 2014 election, Pankaja G. Munde of the BJP won the Parli seat with 96,904 votes, holding a vote share of 49.56% and a victory margin of 25,895 votes. Several candidates, including Aghav Sanjay Uttamrao (MNS) and Dhananjay Panditrao Munde (NCP), were defeated in this election.
