The Indian Railways has officially launched its much-awaited ‘SwaRail’ SuperApp, to offer a seamless travel experience to passengers and has invited users to experience the app during the Beta phase.
The SuperApp will be a one-stop solution for passengers as it integrates various railway services, eliminating the need for multiple applications and reducing space consumption on user devices. A key focus of the app is enhancing user experience with a seamless and clean user interface (UI).
Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), the beta version of the app is now available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
According to an official statement by the Ministry of Railways, the app caters to a wide range of user needs, including reserved ticket bookings, unreserved ticket and platform ticket bookings, parcel and freight enquiries, train and PNR status, food orders or trains and Rail Madad for complaint management.
The SuperApp of Indian Railways, currently in beta testing phase, is slated to be released to the public shortly. Its unique features include a single sign-on, all-in-one app, easy onboarding/sign-up and ease of login.
The Ministry of Railway has invited users to experience the SuperApp during this Beta phase and provide valuable feedback for its improvement. This initiative is a significant step toward leveraging technology to enhance convenience for railway users.
