A 20-year-old driver rammed into multiple vehicles with his car, killing a woman and leaving three others seriously injured in Vadodara, Gujarat.

A video from the crash site has emerged, which showed the heavily drunk driver coming out of the car following the accident and shouting "another round" even as bystanders tried to get hold of him and those injured lay scattered on the ground.

The driver, dressed in a black T-shirt, was visibly unstable as he began shouting incoherently.

The driver has been identified as 23-year-old law student, Rakshit Chaurasia and along with him was Meet Chauhan, who owns the car but was not driving at the time.

The accident occurred near Amrapali Chaar Rasta in Karelibag, a busy intersection in Vadodara city.

The crash resulted in the death of one woman on the spot, identified as Hemaliben Patel. Three others were seriously injured, including Jaini (12), Nishaben (35), an unidentified 10-year-old girl, NDTV reported.

Leena Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police, confirmed that the driver was intoxicated and had been taken into custody.

“A 4-wheeler rammed into a 2-wheeler and one woman died in the accident. The accused driver has been caught. Police are conducting further probe… this is a case of drunk driving," she told news agency ANI.
