In a historic first, an Indian infantry systems company is exhibiting its indigenously developed systems at Milipol Paris 2025 -- a major international event for homeland security and safety.
Bengaluru-based SSS Defence made its debut at Milipol Paris 2025 on Tuesday. The event is being held from November 18 to 25 in the French capital.
“Proud to be the first #BorninBharat infantry systems company displaying our fully indigenous systems in a premier foreign military & law enforcement expo. We signify the success of #MakeInIndia and also it’s potential for defence exports into global markets,” the company’s CEO Vivek Krishnan said earlier.

About SSS Defence
Established in 2017, SSS Defence aims to advance India’s manufacturing capabilities by developing equipment designed to meet the practical requirements of the Armed Forces and law-enforcement bodies.
The company offers an array of products from sniper to assault rifles, pistol, sub machine gun and reportedly aims to have a remote-controlled weapon station too. An ammunition production facility, launched in 2024, is part of the company’s operations and is currently set for expansion.
“We got an arms and ammunition licence in 2017 and wanted to build everything in India,” said Dinesh Shivanna, co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of the company in an interview with The Week, adding that in case of a war, there wouldn’t be any supply chain crisis.
“If it is completely manufactured in India, one can deal with any situation and scale up the production without depending on anyone outside the country,” he said.
Among SSS Defence’s product lineup, the sniper rifles draw particular attention. Available in 7.62×51mm NATO and .338 Lapua Magnum, the rifles are built for long-distance accuracy. The .338 variant, known as a top-tier calibre, can reach targets at around 1.5 km, according to the report by The Week.
