Noida police on August 9 detained several college students after busting a rave party being held at a posh locality.

As per reports, police recovered several bottles of Haryana-labelled alcohol as well as hookah during the raid. The rave party was reportedly organised by a group of students from a prestigious university at a flat in Noida's Supernova Society in Sector 94.

There were underage students (below the legal drinking age of 21 years) in inebriated state at the party, police said.

The invitations to the rave party were sent via WhatsApp, and the message read, "House party that is going to be a total blast. Join us at our crib at 6 pm and let's make some memories that'll last".

In the invite, the organisers mentioned the entry fees as Rs 500 for women, Rs 1,000 for men, and Rs 800 for couples.

The police spokesperson confirmed that a team reached the spot based on a tip-off and detained 39 students of a well-known university.

According to a report on NDTV, the students even misbehaved with the residents of the society upon being confronted. The group also allegedly threw alcohol bottles from the balcony of the flat.

The police said that a case has been registered and appropriate action is being taken.
