Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has decided to continue shooting for his upcoming projects despite the firing incident on Sunday.

Unknown assailants fired at the residence of Salman Khan, Galaxy Apartments, in the wee hours of Sunday morning, triggering a shock wave in the industry and his family.

According to a report in India Today, Salman Khan has asked his team not to cancel any of his shoots or work. He has asked them to ‘keep working as per his schedule.’ Sources further told India Today that Salman doesn’t want to give much attention to the firing incident.

Rohit Gadora, a gang member behind the attack

Two unknown assailants had fired outside the Bandra residence of Salman Khan. One of the suspect’s identities has been revealed. Vishal ala Kallu is a member of the Rohit Gadora gang and was involved in the killing of a businessman named Sachin in March this year. Gadora had then taken responsibility for the killing.

Gadora is a close associate of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and is named in more than 35 criminal cases, which include murder and extortion. Gadora runs Bishnoi’s operations from the UK.

Gadora has fled to Dubai with a fake passport.

Salman’s security beefed up

Salman Khan’s security was beefed up yesterday after the incident. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde spoke with Salman and later the Mumbai Police Commissioner about the security situation.

The forensic department has already collected the bullet shell from the actor’s house.

A few hours after the incident, Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol, claimed responsibility for the shooting.

In a post on Facebook in Hindi, he said, "We want peace. If the decision against oppression is made by war, so be it. Salman Khan,we did this to show you the trailer. So that you understand our capabilities. Don't test us. This is my first and last warning to you. After this, the bullets won't be fired just at empty homes."

Last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said that Salman Khan was on the target list of Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi had in his interrogation spoken about his anger against Salman Khan, which stems from the Black Buck poaching case, which is sacred for the Bishnoi community.
