Dhurandhar is still making a lot of noise at the box office, and the audience's enthusiasm for Ranveer Singh's espionage thriller shows no sign of slowing down.
Apart from the loaded theatres and the great figures, the movie is now being applauded by the actors of the industry as well, with Shraddha Kapoor being one of them.
Shraddha Kapoor went to the extreme of sharing her experience of the film via a couple of Instagram Stories, and her feedback was very passionate and equally enthusiastic.
In her first story, she directed a sarcastic arrow at the film director Aditya Dhar and wrote, “Truly terrible of @adityadharfilms to make a film like Dhurandhar >>>.” The playful tone immediately signalled that praise was coming.
Moments later, Shraddha Kapoor clarified exactly what she meant. In a second Story, she expressed mock frustration at having to wait for the sequel, writing, “and make us wait for 3 months for part 2. Don't play with our emotions. Pre pone the release, please. What a phenomenal experience. Subha shoot nahi hoti toh kasam se abhi dobara dekhne jati. Chhaava, Saiyaara, Dhurandhar. All in 2025,” punctuating her excitement with rocket emojis. Her candid response resonated with fans who echoed the same impatience for the next chapter.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a gripping spy thriller that leans into scale, suspense and layered performances. While rumours initially linked the story to the life of Major Mohit Sharma, Aditya Dhar has made it clear that the film is not based on the army officer and is instead a work of fiction.
The film features a powerhouse ensemble, including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun. Audiences have responded in overwhelming numbers, with the film earning more than Rs 370 crore at the Indian box office so far and crossing the Rs 400 crore mark worldwide.
The excitement for the next installment is already palpable as the producers have confirmed the release of Dhurandhar Part Two on 19 March 2026.
As for Shraddha Kapoor, she has a busy slate ahead. She will next be seen in Laxman Utekar’s Eetha, co-starring Randeep Hooda, and is also set to return to the much-loved horror-comedy universe with Stree, continuing a franchise that has become a fan favourite.
