Yogesh Mehta of MOSL told CNBC-TV18, "On the sell side, one can go short for Tata Steel. Currently it is Rs 696 in the futures segment or maybe spot. That can be shorted with a target of Rs 680 and keep a stoploss of Rs 705."
Tata Steel ended at Rs 695.15, down Rs 14.15, or 1.99 percent on the BSE.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 734.90 and 52-week low Rs 377.45 on 30 October, 2017 and 27 December, 2016, respectively.
Currently, it is trading 5.41 percent below its 52-week high and 84.17 percent above its 52-week low.
