Prefer Tata Power, NTPC: Gaurang Shah

Gaurang Shah of Geojit Financial Services told CNBC-TV18, "We are extremely positive on two companies in the power generation i.e. Tata Power and NTPC. On Torrent Power I cannot comment specifically because we do not have a coverage, but my sense is that if your time horizon is say 1.5-2 years plus, then both Tata Power as well NTPC, looks very promising especially Tata Power because we believe that the Mundra, even PPP resolution is just around the corner and NTPC is one of the largest power generator."

"The power policy that the government has put in place would benefit all the power manufacturing companies including Tata Power and NTPC," he added.
