Shares of MEP Infrastructure Developers gained 3.4 percent intraday Friday on getting toll collection rights at Dastan village in Maharashtra.
"MEP has been awarded by Mumbai-JNPT Port Road Company Limited (a SPV of National Highways Authority of India) the rights for collection of user fee through user fee collection agency on the basis of competitive bidding at Km 9.100 (toll plaza near Dastan village) for widening/ improvement of Amra Marg including construction of new six lane bridge on Panvel creek in Maharashtra," the company said in its filing.
MEP has received letter of acceptance (LOA) on November 19 from the authority. Contractual amount of Rs 21.6 crore for this project is payable to authority on a weekly basis over a contract period of one year.
It was the fifth toll collection right for the company since September 30.
On November 16, it received toll collection rights for Dasna toll plaza (Ghaziabad-Hapur & Hapur bypass section) on National Highway 24 in Uttar Pradesh and for Surjapur toll plaza (Dalkhola to Islampur) of National Highway 31 in West Bengal.
MEP Infrastructure also got rights for toll collection for Semri toll plaza (Jhansi-Poonch) on National Highway 26 in Uttar Pradesh on October 16 and for Surajbari toll plaza (Garamore-Samakhiyali section) of National Highway 8A in Gujarat on September 30.
