SMC Global's Market Report:Outlook for the day The market is expected to be flat after markets swelled up on firm stock market sentiment amid the Union Budget proposals, especially with regard to fiscal discipline and clarity on FPI taxation. Markets were mixed in Asia as Asian stocks struggled to find firm footing after the US Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged but hinted at further rises this year. Markets in China remained closed for the lunar new year holiday. The lead from Wall Street is mildly positive as stocks opened slightly higher and stayed that way throughout the session. Marico, Glenmark Pharma, UFO Moviez India, GE Power India, Godfrey Phillips India, AstraZeneca Pharma India, and Vijaya Bank are to announce their results today. As per provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs)/Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 92.73 crore on February 1, 2017. Domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 1133.74 crore on that day.
