Total Calls add 48.58 lakh shares in open interest

F&O cues:

Total Futures' open interest (OI) was down by Rs 536 crore while total Options OI up by Rs 3324 crore. Total Stock Futures shed 1.3 crore shares in OI.

Nifty Futures added 10.58 lakh shares in OI. Nifty Futures ended with 1.45 points discount as against premium of 0.90 points.

Total Puts added 7.54 lakh shares in OI while total Calls added 48.58 lakh shares in OI.

Highest OI outstanding was seen at 6000 Call, 5800 Call and 5700 Call.

Nifty 5500 Call added 14.6 lakh shares in OI and Nifty 5400 Call added 12.76 lakh shares in Open Interest. Nifty 5200 put added 8.31 lakh shares in OI and Nifty 5400 put adds 7.34 lakh shares in Open Interest.

Nifty 5600 Call added 7.2 lakh shares in Open Interest. Nifty 5600 Put shed 13.11 lakh shares in OI and Nifty 5700 Put shed 4.63 lakh shares in OI.

Nifty 5800 Put shed 4.35 lakh shares in OI and Nifty 5500 Put shed 3.25 lakh shares in OI. Nifty 6200 Call shed 2.4 lakh shares in OI.

India VIX was up by 1.98% at 21.60.

FIIs in F&O

FIIs have net sold Rs 1347 crore in Index Futures on May 5 (as per provisional data on NSE), which OI was up by 62334 contracts.

FIIs have net bought Rs 37 crore in Index Options, which OI was up by 58710 contracts.

FIIs have net bought Rs 278 crore in Stock Futures, which OI was up by 3477 contracts.
