CRISIL Research has come out with its report on coal price.


Despite double-digit growth in cement demand, the average pan-India retail cement price marginally declined by around 1% month-on-month, to Rs 285 per bag during December 2011. After demonstrating a steep rise over the past few months, prices marginally corrected in December. On a yearly basis, the average pan-India retail cement price registered an increase of almost 21% during December 2011, largely on account of base effect.
