Nifty 5200 Call adds 17.3 lakh shares in open interest
FIIs were net sellers of Rs 780 crore in Index Futures; which open interest (OI) was up by 5204 contracts. FIIs have net sold Rs 1373 crore in Index Options; which OI was down by 2119 contracts.

FIIs were net sellers of Rs 780 crore in Index Futures; which open interest (OI) was up by 5204 contracts. FIIs have net sold Rs 1373 crore in Index Options; which OI was down by 2119 contracts.Nifty Open Interest PCR went down at 1 versus 1.07. Nifty 5200 Call added 17.3 lakh shares in OI while Nifty 5100 Put added 4.9 lakh shares in OI.Short covering was seen in Lanco Infratech, Reliance Infrastructure and Ashok Leyland. Lanco shot up 20%; its OI was down by 27% and delivery volume declined at 1 crore shares (30%) as against 2.5 crore (46%) shares.Reliance Infra rose 10%; its OI was down by 11% and delivery volume slipped at 14.5 lakh shares (14%) versus 22 lakh (21%) shares. Ashok Leyland went up 6%; its OI was down by 11% and delivery volume declined at 29.5 shares (50%) versus 33.2 lakh (49%) shares.Fresh shorts and cash based selling were seen in Unitech. The stock tumbled 4.7%; its OI was up by 10% and delivery volume increased at 1.5 crore shares (18%) versus 91 lakh (15%) shares.Cash based selling & unwinding were seen in Indian Hotel. The stock was down by 8%; its OI was down by 7%.Fresh longs and cash based buying were seen in Jain Irrigation. The stock went up by 10.2%; its OI was up by 36%.
