B2B payments firm Infibeam Avenues posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 55 crore for the March quarter,  up 20 rise from Rs 46.6 crore in the year-ago period, the company said on May 26.

Higher payment volumes, expanded MSME penetration and rapid merchant onboarding pushed revenue to Rs 1,160.5 crore, 62 percent more than the previous year. Total expenses were up 66 percent to Rs 1,104 crore in Q4.

"The company continued its strong growth trajectory in Q4 FY25, adding over 1.1 lakh new merchants during the quarter. For the full fiscal year, the company onboarded more than 4.2 lakh merchants—a 35% increase compared to FY24," it added, while crediting the growth with launch of new soundbox for merchants.

For the full financial year, consolidated net profit rose 51 percent to Rs 236 crore. Consolidated revenue grew to Rs 3,992.6 crore from Rs 3,150.3 crore in the previous year.

The payments segment, which includes the CCAvenue payment gateway and other related services, remained the primary revenue driver, contributing over Rs 3,786 crore to the full-year top line. The e-commerce platform business added another Rs 20 crore to revenue.

The board has approved a rights issue to raise up to Rs 700 crore. The money will be used to launch RediffPay, a digital payment platform for consumers; expand its AI-powered data centre called Infibeam Quantum Edge, grow international payment services in key markets and create a global AI Agentic Marketplace, the company said in a statement.

"Our continued expansion in the Middle East and our foray into the AI space with new, transformative offerings are setting the stage for the next phase of growth. As part of this vision, we plan to invest up to USD 100 million over the next three years in advancing our AI capabilities—from intelligent payment solutions to next-generation infrastructure," chairman and managing director Vishal Mehta said.

The Gujarat-based firm has been planning a foray into consumer-facing businesses, including payments and financial services, after it acquired a 54.1 percent stake in news website Rediff.com in August. It recently secured NPCI's Third Party Application Platform (TPAP) licence to offer UPI services.

Disinvestment of logistics subsidiary

Infibeam also announced that its board has approved the complete divestment of its wholly owned logistics subsidiary, Infibeam Logistics Private Ltd. The move is in line with its strategic intent to focus on core digital infrastructure businesses. Following the transaction, Infibeam Logistics will cease to be a subsidiary.

During the year, Infibeam completed a restructuring approved by the NCLT, under which it transferred its domain name business to Odigma Consultancy Solutions, previously a subsidiary of Infibeam Avenues, and its project management business to Infibeam Projects Management. Odigma listed on BSE and NSE in December 2024 and is no longer a subsidiary.

The demerger led to a Rs 66.7 crore reduction in reserves and the transfer of assets worth over Rs 120 crore.
