Bollywood actor John Abraham has purchased a 5,416 sqft bungalow in Khar area of Mumbai along with the land of 7,722 sqft on which the bungalow is situated for Rs 70.83 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by IndexTap.com
The bungalow is located in Khar's Linking Road, which is one of the biggest retail high streets of Mumbai and is also known for several educational institutions in the vicinity.
Abraham has paid stamp duty of Rs 4.24 crore for the bungalow and the deal was registered on December 27, 2023. A query has been sent to the actor, and his response is awaited.
In Mumbai, owing to space constraints, contemporary Bollywood stars are majorly into the buying of apartments in high-rise. On the other hand, horizontal properties in form of bungalows are majorly owned by old timers in the entertainment industry.

Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan also owns couple of bungalows in Mumbai. Bachchan was recently in the news for gifting Prateeksha, his bungalow in Mumbai, to his daughter, Shweta Nanda. The property is located on two plots of sizes 890.47 sq m and 674 sq m in Juhu, Mumbai.
A gift deed for the property was executed on November 8. A stamp duty of Rs 50.65 lakh was paid for the transaction, the gift deed documents showed.

Meanwhile, coming back to Khar where Abraham has purchased a bungalow, the per sqft price for residential real estate ranges between Rs 40,000 to 90,000. The rate depends on the area and the property grade, according to local brokers.
