Wipro CEO and MD Thierry Delaporte has resigned from his position effective April 6. The software services firm said it has appointed Srinivas Pallia as the CEO and MD of the company. Unlike Thierry, who was brought in from Capgemini to lead Wipro four years ago, Palia is a Wipro veteran and has spent over three decades at the Azim Premji promoted firm. Read more here

Broader indices continued the last financial year outperformance in the first week of April (FY25) as Indian benchmark indices witnessed volatility amid mixed cues. Among the broader indices, the BSE Small-cap, Mid-cap and Large-cap indices gained 7 percent, 4 percent and 1 percent, respectively. 400 Small-cap stocks gain 10-52 percent and among them a few rose 25-52 percent. E-commerce firm Amazon has finally launched Bazaar, the destination for low-priced, unbranded fashion items and lifestyle products for value customers, the landing page of the app revealed. Amazon Bazaar will compete with SoftBank-backed Meesho and Flipkart’s Shopsy.
