Sebi chief Madhabi Puri Buch felt like locked in a pressure cooker when she was a student for two years at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
The chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Board of India shared her feelings at the 59th Annual Convocation of the institute on March 30. She recalled the life under intense pressure, growing panic, escalating self-doubt, and a frantic race against deadlines.

The life at IIM-A, however, taught her the invaluable lesson on how to cope with such intense pressure. "But in the hindsight, how to deal with being inside a pressure cooker was perhaps one of the most valuable learnings I took away from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad."
Reflecting on her IIM days, Buch also reminisced how there was fun intertwined with challenges that eventually created some unforgettable memories.
