The Indian stock market is marginally trading in the green in this afternoon session with the Nifty50 up 16 points, trading at 10,498 while the Sensex gained 27 points at 34,840.
Nifty energy continues to outperform, up 1 percent with gains from BPCL, HPCL, Indian Oil Corporation, GAIL India and Reliance Industries.
Pharma stocks are trading lower with the index shedding 2 percent dragged by Aurobindo Pharma, Sun Pharma, Glenmark Pharma and Lupin.
From the PSU banking space, the top losers were Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and Syndicate Bank.
From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers were Godrej Industries, Container Corporation and RBL Bank while the top losers were Bank of India Wockhardt and AU Small Finance Bank.
From the BSE smallcap space, the top gainers were Hercules Hoists and Nahar Spinning Mills while the losers included Jindal Poly and Himadri Speciality Chemicals.
The top gainers from NSE include HPCL, BPCL, IOC, Eicher Motors and UltraTech Cement.
The top losers included Tata Motors, Sun Pharma, UPL, IndusInd Bank and Indiabulls Housing Finance.
The most active stocks are Jet Airways, Aurobindo Pharma, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank and Eicher Motors.
Gallantt Metal, Sakuma Exports and SMS Lifesciences are some of the few stocks which hit new 52-week high on the NSE.
25 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like ABG Shipyard, Empee Distilleries, Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company, Navkar Corporation and Hotel Leela Venture among others.
The breadth of the market favoured the declines with 669 stocks advancing and 995 declining while 397 remained unchanged. On the BSE, 995 stocks advanced, 1284 declined and 136 remained unchanged.
