Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has accepted a Letter of Intent (LOI) from MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Limited for the supply of equipment for a 1x800 MW Anuppur Thermal Power Project. The project, based on supercritical technology, is valued at approximately ₹2,600 crore excluding GST.
The LOI was accepted on September 3, 2025, for the supply of equipment including Boiler, Turbine, and Generator. A formal contract agreement is expected to be entered into shortly.
The Boiler and Turbine Generator for the project will be manufactured at BHEL's Trichy and Haridwar plants, respectively.
The supply completion schedule for the project is 58 months.
BHEL has confirmed that the order does not involve any related party transactions and is at arm's length.
