FIIs net sell Rs 780cr in equities on May 5 (prov)

FIIs have net sold Rs 780 crore while DIIs have net bought Rs 937 crore in the cash market on May 5, as per provisional data available on NSE. FIIs have net sold Rs 1030 crore in the F&O market.

Market cues:

Commodities sunk most since 2009. Dollar witnessed strong advance yesterday. CRB index fell nearly 5%.

Institutional action

FIIs have net sold Rs 780 crore while DIIs have net bought Rs 937 crore in the cash market on May 5, as per provisional data available on NSE. FIIs have net sold Rs 1030 crore in the F&O market.

Market cues

FIIs have net sold USD 157 million in cash market on May 04. NSE F&O Open Interest was up by Rs 2788 crore at Rs 1.30 lakh crore yesterday.

Cadila, Central Bank, Eicher, MTNL, NIIT tech, Rolta, Piramal Health, SKS, Union Bank and Federal Bank will announce their Jan-March quarter numbers today.
