Garry Evans, HSBC: The outlook for equities in 2013 remains choppy. However, global stocks will make modest gains, backed by a combination of central bank action, earnings growth of about 10% and further re-rating.

Sanjeev Prasad, Kotak Institutional Equities: The direct cash transfer scheme will benefit the government politically and also signal a restart of the reforms process. We feel PSU oil companies would be the biggest beneficiaries of this scheme, if it indeed helps in reducing subsidies. We like BPCL, Oil India and ONGC.
