Three minor sisters, holding hands, leapt to their deaths from the ninth-floor balcony of their Ghaziabad apartment in the early hours of Wednesday, in a tragedy police have linked to a familial conflict over their use of online games.
The girls have been identified as Pakhi, 12, Prachi, 14, and Vishika, 16. According to details emerging from the police investigation and local sources, the sisters were exceptionally close, reportedly undertaking all daily activities — including bathing, eating, attending school and sleeping — together.

What the minor girls' father said: 'I appeal to all parents to ...'
The father of the minors said, "They had told me, ‘Papa, we cannot leave Korean. Korean is our life. Korean is everything to us. You cannot separate us from it. We will give up our lives.’ I have just seen the suicide note. This is very tragic. I appeal to all parents to be careful and ensure children do not get so deeply attached to games..."
Preliminary information from the Ghaziabad Police indicates the sisters' intense bond extended to a shared obsession with online gaming, which reportedly began during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns.
Officials repportedly stated the girls were particularly engrossed in an online, task-based "Korean love game." This shared digital fixation became a point of serious contention at home.
The police also noted that the girls had not been attending school regularly, further highlighting their withdrawal into the virtual world. Authorities continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.
