Mamaearth IPO to hit the Street Oct 31, confirms parent Honasa Consumer

On October 23, Moneycontrol was first to publish the report, saying the Rs 1,700-crore offer by US-based venture capital firm Sequoia Capital-backed Honasa will open for subscription on October 31.

The fast-growing D2C (direct-to-consumer) firm in the beauty, babycare, and skincare segments was the first unicorn of 2022, and received regulatory approval for its listing from market regulator SEBI early this August after filling draft papers in December 2022.

Varun and Ghazal Alagh-owned Honasa Consumer Private Limited on October 25 confirmed that its initial public offering will open for bidding on October 31.

On October 23, Moneycontrol was first to publish the report, saying the Rs 1,700-crore offer by US-based venture capital firm Sequoia Capital-backed Honasa will open for subscription on October 31. Honasa Consumer is the parent entity of brands, including Mamaearth, The Derma Co, and BBlunt.

The fast-growing D2C (direct-to-consumer) firm in the beauty, babycare, and skincare segments was the first unicorn of 2022, and received regulatory approval for its listing from market regulator Sebi early this August after filling draft papers in December 2022.

The firm is reportedly looking to raise around Rs 1,700 crore from a combination of a fresh issue and an offer-for-sale and was targeting an estimated valuation of around Rs 10,500 crore. The anchor book of the issue will open for a day on October 30, while the offer for the public will close on November 2.
