Voltas Q3 PAT may fall 51.2% to Rs 37.5 cr: CNBC-TV18 poll

Voltas, the engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration company, will announce its third quarter earnings today. Profit after tax may fall 51.2 percent at Rs 37.5 crore versus Rs 76.8 crore Y-o-Y.

    Voltas, the engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration company, will announce its third quarter earnings today. Here is what the poll of CNBC-TV18 analysts expect from the company.

    Earnings Q3FY14 Y-o-Y consolidated-Total income may fall 2 percent to Rs 1,129 crore versus Rs 1,153 crore-EBITDA is seen going up 73.5 percent to Rs 42.1 crore versus Rs 24.3 crore-Operating profit margin may expand 160 basis points to 3.7 percent versus 2.1 percent-PAT may fall 51.2 percent at Rs 37.5 crore versus Rs 76.8 crore

    Last year’s results had an exceptional gain of Rs 59.8 crore. Adjusting for which last year’s PAT stands at Rs 29 crore.

    Expectations-Company will benefit from the onset of a favourable base-Expect recovery in orders to Rs 950-1,000 crore from a low base, with an improvement in international orders from large hotels, stadiums and hospitals-Revenues to remain muted due to lower execution in electro-mechanical projects (EMP) segment-Margins to improve on low base and thereby drive sharp jump in profitability

    Key things to watch out for in the result-EMP margins and unitary cooling products (UCP) business growth-Order intake in Middle East-Growth in UCP is expected to moderate with stable margin
