Britannia Industries' third quarter consolidated profit after tax is expected to increase 40.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 141.1 crore, according to the average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.
Total income is seen rising 12.4 percent to Rs 2,015 crore during October-December quarter from Rs 1,793 crore in same quarter last fiscal.
Operating profit may jump 30.1 percent year-on-year to Rs 208 crore and margin may expand 140 basis points to 10.3 percent in the quarter gone by.
Earnings growth may be slightly higher on account of lower tax rate.
Within the Biscuits category, premium creams and cookies segment may continue to outperform, with introduction of new offering in the premium segment by industry players
Volume growth is estimated at around 6-7 percent.
