Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) reported a record high in order inflows for the financial year 2025, with Rs 92,534 crore in new orders, the highest ever for the company. BHEL's revenue for FY25 reached Rs 27,350 crore, reflecting a 19 percent increase from the previous fiscal.
In the power sector, BHEL secured orders worth Rs 81,349 crore, while the industrial segment saw new orders valued at Rs 11,185 crore. As a result, the total order book stood at Rs 1.95 lakh crore by the end of FY25. Additionally, BHEL commissioned or synchronised 8.1 GW of power capacity during the fiscal year.
In terms of partnerships, BHEL entered into a technology transfer agreement with the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) for access to its indigenous diaphragm technology for electrolysers. This technology, focusing on BARC’s Mixed-Matrix Membrane Diaphragm, will be utilised in electrolyser systems to separate hydrogen and oxygen during electrolysis.
Earlier this month, BHEL also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italy's Nuovo Pignone International to explore compressor revamp opportunities in India's fertiliser sector. The MoU, effective for 10 years unless extended, designates BHEL as the lead bidder for compressor revamp projects, while Nuovo Pignone will serve as the nominated vendor for the projects.
