Textile company Arvind's third quarter net profit may rise 5 percent year-on-year to Rs 107.5 crore, according to the average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.

Total income from operations is seen rising 14 percent to Rs 2,017 crore during October-December quarter from Rs 1,774 crore in the year-ago period. Operating profit may climb 8 percent to Rs 275 crore but margin may decline 70 basis points to 13.6 percent in the quarter gone by.

What to watch out for:-Management had indicated earlier itself that Q3 will be muted-Textile revenues may remain flat because of de-growth in denims & woven revenues-Brands & retail segment may see a growth of 20 percent, but lower than the previous quarters because of underperformance of Megamart.-However, the street is anticipating a good quarter on the back of restructuring of brands business & discontinuation of underperforming brands.
