Bank holiday on Diwali city-wise list

With Diwali around the corner, bank customers across India are advised to check the holiday schedule before planning to visit their bank branch, as the Diwali holiday closure for banks differs from one state to another.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar lists city-specific closures.

While some banks will observe the holiday on October 31 (Thursday), others will remain shut on November 1 (Friday).

Even as branches will remain close, all digital banking services such as internet banking, mobile apps, and fund transfers will continue to operate without any disruption. Customers can perform essential functions such as transferring funds, paying bills, and checking account balances at any time, as these services will not be affected by the Diwali closures.
