Infosys Ltd is overhauling its project delivery model and bundling services to drive growth in an uncertain market, Mint reported. The move includes pitching artificial intelligence (AI) benefits to clients and reorganising internal structures to allow employees to work on projects beyond their traditional business units.
Under the new approach, a developer in the financial services division could be deployed on a high-tech or manufacturing project if their skills align.
“Earlier, IT-related work for a client could be done only by executives under whose service line that project fell,” an executive told Mint.
Another executive told Mint, “We are now bundling a bunch of services like software applications, cloud functions, IT infrastructure management, and AI features into one package, which can be quickly customised and deployed as per the client’s needs. Delivery timelines are reducing and helping the company bag more deals from clients.”
According to the report, these steps aim to offset the recent slowdown in large deal wins. Despite strong overall financial performance, Infosys has struggled to secure big-ticket deals and is now focused on turning that around.
