Have not proposed any hike in transportation tariff of natural gas: PNGRB

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Satpal Garg, Board Member of Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) spoke at length about the unified tariff.

Let me clarify, we have not proposed any hike in transportation tariff of natural gas, said Garg.

Right now, we have web hosted on our website a consultation paper for unified tariff on all the pipelines, he said.

He further said that there are separate tariff for each gas pipeline, instead of that we will be giving one single tariff for all the pipelines.

"The numbers which have been given by GAIL India, we have not verified those tariff numbers. The tariff numbers are subject to verification," he mentioned.

Similar to the proposal of unified tariff, we are also in the process of floating the consultation paper for review and revision of tariff regulations, he further mentioned.
