Flipkart, Amazon begin pre-orders for Apple iPhone 7 models

Moneycontrol BureauGood news for Apple lovers as e-commerce majors Flipkart and Amazon on Friday started pre-orders for the much awaited Apple iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus. Both the smartphones will be officially available in India from October 7.

The iPhone 7 will available in the range of Rs 60,000 to 80,000 while the iPhone 7 Plus will cost you between Rs 72,000 and Rs 92,000.

Both Flipkart and Amazon are offering the host of incentives for buyers, including cashback and EMIs.

Flipkart is also offering an exchange program wherein customers can get discounts up to Rs 24,500. However, the exchange amount depends on the model and condition of your smartphone.

The company is also offering express delivery service that means the phone will be delivered at your door-step on October, 7 itself. Though the service only available in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru only.

Amazon on the other hand is offering a Zero EMI scheme under which it will be giving a gift card worth Rs 8,000.

The phones will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Silver and Black colour options. The newly announced Jet Black colour option will be only available in 128 GB and 256 GB capacities.

The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch display with 3D touch, while iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch Retina HD display with 3D touch. Both the smartphones are powered by a new quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor, which it claims is 40 per cent faster than the previous generation.

The iOS 10-powered iPhone 7 sports a 12MP iSight camera and 4K video recording. The iPhone 7 Plus has dual 12MP rear cameras — one wide-angle and a telephoto lens.

Both smartphones will also have a new home button which is now touch sensitive and uses a new Taptic engine for better response.
