Amul managing director Jayen Mehta gets five-year extension

Jayen Mehta has been appointed as the Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (Amul) for a 5-year period till 2029-30 after the board meeting of GCMMF held at the end of November.

GCMMF (Amul) is India's largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) enterprise, with an annual brand sales turnover of Rs 80,000 crores.

Mehta has been working at GCMMF (Amul) for the last 34 years and has risen from the ranks with a good all-around experience.

He is a member of the Standing Committee of Marketing for the International Dairy Federation (IDF).

Mehta has been honoured as a member of Campaign Asia’s Asia Pacific Power List 2024, a prestigious accolade celebrating the most influential and visionary marketers in the Asia-Pacific region.

GCMMF (Amul) is a cooperative federation of 36 lakh milk producers of Gujarat organized through a network of 18,600 village dairy cooperative societies under 18 district milk unions handling over 300 lakh litres of milk every day.

Amul has recently earned global acclaim as the strongest food and dairy brand in the world.
