HP decides to form panels for buying private land

The Himachal Pradesh government on Saturday decided to constitute negotiation committees in all departments for smooth acquisition of private land for developmental projects.

The Himachal Pradesh government on Saturday decided to constitute negotiation committees in all departments for smooth acquisition of private land for developmental projects.


The cabinet, at its meeting held here, approved formation of the negotiation committees for expeditious acquisition of private land for locating National Disaster Reserve Force battalion of Indo-Tibetan Border Police at Mauja Kopra in Tehsil Nurpur of Kangra District.


The cabinet also decided to constitute similar committees for all departments to deal with such cases.


The cabinet approved rationalization of entry tax under which all industrial inputs will now be taxed at a uniform rate of 1%.


It also gave its nod to 'The Himachal Pradesh e-Stamping Rules, 2011' for electronic collection of stamp duty in addition to collection through physical pre-printed stamp papers.


The fully air-conditioned Sadan would have 23 double-bed suites with attached toilets and kitchenette, 15 six-bed and 3-bed dormitories besides one transit room of 6-bed capacity to facilitate patients coming to PGI, Chandigarh, for treatment.


The cabinet also cleared the renewal of smart cards under National Health Insurance Scheme upto February 28, 2012.
