IT dept issues show-cause notice to KFA: Sources

The Income-Tax department has freezed 19 accounts of Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) due to the company defaulting on its service tax dues

     The Income-Tax department has issued a show-cause notice to Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) to undertake a legal proceeding against the company for non-payment of dues.


    Earlier in the day, it froze 19 more bank accounts of  KFA due to the company defaulting on its service tax dues. The IT department is likely to attach KFA properties as it is unable to recover any amount, CNBC-TV18 has learnt. The airline has to pay around Rs 180 crore to the IT department.
