KEC International gets Rs 371 cr orders

Engineering and construction company KEC International has won Rs 371 crore worth orders for the construction of power transmission lines in India.

    Engineering and construction company KEC International has won Rs 371 crore worth orders for the construction of power transmission lines in India.


    The first order is worth Rs 258 crore from Power Grid Corp of India to supply and construct 260 km long 400 kv double circuit transmission line from Bhachau in Gujarat's Kutch district to Essar Thermal power station in the state. The contract is to be completed in about 26 months, KEC International said on Monday.


    It also received Rs 113 crore order from CESC arm Haldia Energy to construct 400 kv double circuit transmission line between Haldia thermal power plant and Subhash Gram, crossing the Ganga river at Kolkata. This contract will be completed in 18 months.

    At 11:30 hrs, KEC International shares were up 2.8% on NSE.
