Tata Consultancy Services gains on rising brand value

Tata Consultancy Services, the largest software services exporter in India, was trading higher since morning trade as the company said it added over USD 1 billion in its brand value.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the largest software services exporter in India, was trading higher since morning trade as the company said it added over USD 1 billion in its brand value.

"It also retained its position among the Big 4 most valuable IT services brand worldwide in the ranking carried out by Brand Finance (brand valuation firm)," TCS said.

TCS added USD 1,179 million in brand value in 2012, up by 28.9 percent annually to reach the USD 5 billion (USD 5,247 million) brand value mark.

Shares gained 12 percent in past one month and 23 percent in one year. (Third quarter numbers ahead of expectations)

At 14:46 hours IST, the stock went up 0.4 percent to Rs 1,505.60 on Bombay Stock Exchange.

Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 294,679.19 crore.
