Diageo deal: UBHL submits documents to Karnataka High Court

United Breweries submitted key documents regarding the Diageo deal including the audit and compliance report to the Karnataka High Court.

With three different hearings going on in the Karnataka High Court (HC) on Monday, Kingfisher Airlines and United Breweries Holdings Limited (UBHL) had a busy day with the courts.

UBHL on Monday filed crucial documents along with the audit and compliance report, reports CNBC-TV18's Vineetha Athrey. It comes after the HC order on May 25 which asked UBHL to submit documents related to the deal.

A bankers’ consortium led by State Bank of India (SBI) had asked for a stay on the disbursement of sale proceeds from the deal. Creditors and bankers are yet to inspect these and revert. UBHL also deposited around Rs 250 crore with the Karnataka HC.

Meanwhile, the court also asked employees of KFA employees to rework their application and submit a new application to include them as respondents in the winding up petition as creditors have raised objections against this impleading application.
