Madhya Pradesh recorded a voter turnout of 76 percent in the assembly polls which saw voting at 230 constituencies. Around 5.6 crore registered voters lined up in 52 districts to seal the fate of 2,534 candidates in the polls.

As exit polls by news channels on November 30 predicted a close contest in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan remained confident of a BJP victory. “I have always said that there is no competition in Madhya Pradesh and BJP is going to get a clear majority. The love and guidance of PM Modi, the strategies of Amit Shah, the leadership of JP Nadda, the efforts of our workers and the schemes of our government made it clear that BJP is getting a majority in the state,” Chouhan said.

Meanwhile, former MP Chief Minister and Congress leader Kamal Nath urged the party workers not to get "distracted" by the exit poll predictions. "Many exit polls have shown the Congress party forming the government while some exit polls are saying otherwise. You don't want to let all this distract you," a part of his post on X read.

According to reports, in all the district headquarters, the administration has ensured the security of EVMs and strong rooms. Meanwhile, senior officials of the Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer's office are inspecting various counting centres in the state.

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan expressed satisfaction over the preparations after inspecting the counting centres of Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Indore, Sehore and Dewas.

Preparations have also been made to monitor the entire counting complex through CCTV cameras. Arrangements for live telecast on LED near the main entrance of the counting complex have also been made, according to the Election Commission.
