The people have warned the Congress party to get rid of its politics that divide country. India has performed much more than expectations in various sectors. India is making new records in every sector, said PM Modi.

"In a veiled attack on Congress, Modi said people don’t believe in freebies. Voters of India want India’s development and have been choosing the BJP," said PM Modi.

PM Modi said that BJP’s graph is increasing in Telangana in every election and they won’t leave any stone unturned for its development.These results will have a long-lasting impact.

"In this election, they (Congress) tried to divide people in the name of caste. But I believe there are only four castes, poverty, farmers issues, women empowerment, and youth employment. And working in this regard will take our county forward," said Modi.

Congress people tried to incite people on OBC issue, but they forgot this country’s PM comes from OBC community who has been working to take people of all sections together, stated Nadda during his speech at BJP headquarters.

Nadda also said that if there’s a guarantee in this country that’s only Modi’s guarantee. INDIA alliance tried to divide people on caste in these polls, but Modi showed his magic.

Election Commission data after 21 rounds of counting indicated that the BJP leader currently holds a 1,02,848 vote lead over his nearest rival — Congress candidate Vikram Mastal. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has so far secured 1,61,604 votes.

For the first time in 15 years, a party got two-third majority in Madhya Pradesh, said BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The Bharat Adivasi Party registered its first victory in Madhya Pradesh by winning the Sailana seat of Ratlam district. The party’s Kamleshwar Dodiyar defeated the nearest rival and Congress candidate Harsh Vijay Gehlot in Sailana constituency by a margin of 4,618 votes as per the Election Commission. This is the first time that the Bharat Adivasi Party, headquartered in Rajasthan, has registered a victory in any election in Madhya Pradesh.

BJP candidate Diya Kumari won the Vidhyadhar Nagar seat in the Rajasthan Assembly polls by a margin of 71,368 votes. A member of the erstwhile Jaipur royal family, Diya Kumari defeated Congress candidate Sitaram Agrawal and polled 1,58,516 votes. It is for the second time that Diya Kumari has emerged victorious in the Assembly polls. She first became an MLA in 2013 from Sawai Madhopur.

Ashok Gehlot is likely to meet Governor Kalraj Mishra and resign from the CM post conceding defeat.

"We have got a very good success in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, and the public has supported our policies, formed under the guidance of PM Modi," said Union Minister Nitin Gadkari says as BJP nears victory in MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

"This victory is of the mantra of 'Sabka saath, sabka vishwas and sabka prayaas' given by PM Modi. It is the victory of the guarantee given by the PM. It is also the victory of the strategy given by Amit Shah and the able leadership provided by Nadda ji. Most importantly, it's a victory for our party workers," Vasundhara Raje said.

"No anti-incumbency wave was there in Madhya Pradesh. There is a pro-incumbency wave in Madhya Pradesh...," said Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to party workers as the party leads towards a landslide victory in the state.

BJP leader and candidate,Kailash Vijayvargiya said, "They (Congress) will sit and review this (party's defeat)." On CM face, he said, "It will be a BJP candidate who will once again take Madhya Pradesh on the path to development..."

Security tightened outside Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy's residence in Hyderabad.

Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) says the Congress failed to take alliance partners along and has a negative attitude going into the elections.

Trinamool slams Congress says it is not the BJP’s win but the Congress’ failure. The comment comes a few hours after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge called a meeting of the 28-party alliance on December 6.

Incumbent chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s son Kartikey Chouhan spoke to ANI and said, “The credit for this win goes to PM Modi, the party leadership and Ladli Behens of the state.”

For Congress, Telangana is a cautionary tale because it made space for a new face in Revanth Reddy instead of leaning in on the old guard as in MP and Rajasthan.

The absence of a CM face clearly did not cause intra-party friction in any of the states because the personality and leadership of PM Narendra Modi were a good enough glue to bind the party organisations and keep the cadre on their toes.

With BJP's win almost sealed in Rajasthan, supporters are now rooting for Vasundhara Raje to be the next chief minister.

BJP is leading in all 7 seats in Raipur. Out of 12 seats in Bastar, Congress is leading in only four constituencies.

Cricketer-turned-politician Azharuddin is trailing behind his BRS rival Mahanti Gopinath in Jubilee Hills segment by 306 votes after first round, EC said.

As early trends showed BJP galloping ahead in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and in a close contest with the Congress in Chhattisgarh, the Congress has called an INDIA alliance meeting on December 6.

All four states are seeing a close fight as early trends come in. BJP leading in Rajasthan and MP, Congress in Chhattisgarh and Telangana. These could be postal ballots and trends could change when EVM results start coming in

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is meeting leaders and ministers of the ruling BRS at his office-cum-residence, Pragathi Bhavan, in Hyderabad. He is also reviewing voting trends and percentages and had interactions with candidates of some key constituencies.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah voiced optimism about results in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh, dismissing concerns of defection. "Our MLAs won't fall victim to Operation Lotus."

In Madhya Pradesh, vote-share gap is typically narrow between the winning and the losing party. Even a small shift can lead to big changes in the seat tally. Vote share is the number to watch.

With the counting of votes to start shortly, BJP leader & former Chief Minister Raman Singh said: “BJP will make government with clear majority in the state. We will 42-55 seats in the state.”

Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will be the most watched contest among the 4 states today. Telangana is generating interest too after exit polls predicted a Congress victory in a state ruled since its inception by K Chandrashekar Rao's Bharat Rashtra Samithi.

Counting of votes on EVMs will begin at 8.30 am or as soon as the ballot counting gets over. If the postal ballot counting is delayed the EVM counting would start parallelly. The counting will be done at 36 centres at the headquarters of district election officers in a centralised way.

The process of counting started at 6am with the unlocking of EVM machines in presence of the candidates and their polling agents. The counting of votes in the four states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh will start at 8am with postal ballots.

Former Chief Minister and BJP leader Dr. Raman Singh, a few days ago after the votes were cast, had predicted 52-54 seats for the BJP. Singh was confident that the BJP would form the government in the state. In response, the incumbent Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel rebutted, stating that in the three elections that the BJP won in 2003, 2008, and 2013, their best performance was 52 seats.

Just months before the Chhattisgarh election, Congress shifted from its stance of foregrounding Bhupesh Baghel and instead proceeded with collective leadership, exemplified by making TS Singh Deo the Deputy Chief Minister and changing the slogan from "Bhupesh hai toh Bharosa hai" to "Bharose ki Sarkaar." This strategy seems to have not worked well for the party, causing confusion among cadres and voters in Chhattisgarh, particularly Baghel's supporters.

Congress winning candidates have reportedly been asked to come to Jaipur by 12 pm Monday. The decision was taken after Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot interacted with candidates virtually. The Congress is taking no chances and efforts are on to keep the flock intact

Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said the BJP would secure a landslide victory in the assembly polls. “We will win with a great majority. BJP will get more than 150 seats and form government,” said Sarang.

Congress rode to power after 15 years in the state, winning 68 of 90 seats. BJP managed just 15 seats.

Congress emerged as the single largest party after a close contest in 2018. BJP was able to win only 109 seats. But Shivraj Singh Chouhan returned to power in March 2020 after then senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia’s rebelled bringing down down the Kamal Nath government.

TRS won a second term, riding on K Chandrasekhar Rao's popular welfare schemes. The party won 88 of the state’s 119 seats. The Congress had won 19 seats while the BJP could manage to win just a single seat.

Counting starts at 8 am with the opening of postal ballots. After the manual counting of postal ballots, EVMs are opened.

Nearly 1,200 candidates are in the fray. Some of the big names include CM Bhupesh Baghel, Deputy CM TS Singh Deo (Congress) and former CM Raman Singh of the BJP.

The Madhya Pradesh CM visited Guru Hargobind Sahib Gurudwara in the outskirts of Bhopal. He then visited his constituency, Budhni, where he met a flower seller who had given him a ring as a good luck charm. He also visited temples in Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Gwalior and Datia

The Indian National Congress (INC) has issued strict directions to its party’s candidates: If you win, ditch your phones and head straight for the party’s headquarters at the state capital.

At a Moneycontrol roundtable of experts on December 1, Amit Malviya, in charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national Information & Technology department, while weighing in on the politics of ‘freebies’ said that the BJP government does not need to give up on fiscal prudence to win elections.

BJP, which has seen defeats in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, needs wins under its belt to build momentum for Lok Sabha polls. The Congress, on the other hand, is desperate to win a couple of states for an upper hand in seat-sharing talks with INDIA allies.

Irrespective of outcome, the most remarkable feature of Congress’s campaign was its consistency, be it in setting the narrative, showing unity, picking candidates, identifying issues and arraying its star campaigners including Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi in carefully chosen constituencies.

The Congress leader has represented Chhindwara for nine terms since 1980. He targeted Chouhan for his alleged misgovernance, corruption, and failure to control crimes against women, tribals, and Dalits, focusing his campaign on hyperlocal issues.

The lowest margin was in Asind constituency won by Jabbar Singh Sankhala by just 154 votes. The highest margin was in Shahpura constituency won by Kailash Chandra Meghwal by 74542 votes

Across five states – Rajasthan, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh – more than 8,000 candidates are in the fray for about 680 seats. The overall women representation was as low as 10%, despite parties hailing 33% reservation for women.

MP CM Shivraj Chouhan is banking on women welfare schemes and pro-poor policies for another term. He also hopes his aggressive pro-Hindutva image that earned him the title “Bulldozer Mama” will boost his chances.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao or KCR, his son and IT Minister K T Rama Rao or KTR, and Finance Minister T Harish Rao are the biggies to watch out for. Focus will also be on the party’s Dubbak candidate and MP, Kotta Prabhakar Reddy, who was stabbed during campaign.
