If you’ve been wondering about the secret behind Chitrangda Singh’s flawless skin and luscious locks, it is none other than a traditional Indian drink she consumes every morning on an empty stomach. In a video posted by Curly Tales, she called the concoction her “Ram baan.”

The actress revealed that she takes jeera paani (cumin water) with ajwain (carom seeds) in the morning, and it has helped her a lot. “I think it has really worked, and I wanted to share this because it’s like a Ram baan. My hair got better, my skin, my nails, everything.”

Chitrangda admitted that the taste may not be to everyone’s liking, but the fact that it has a lot of health benefits should be enough to tempt people into taking it. “I’ve definitely stuck with it. It’s horrible-tasting jeera paani, but it will give you good skin.”

The actress added that she soaks both ajwain and jeera in the water overnight. The next day, it’s boiled on low heat until the colour changes and is consumed. She joked that you wouldn’t need a sparkle filter after you start taking it on a daily basis.

And when exactly did Chitrangda start? She said that her visits to Delhi would almost always make her fall seriously sick. She constantly suffered from throat and ear infections. While she’d take antibiotics, somebody suggested this natural remedy, which worked for her. Recommending the drink, she added, “It’s very high in vitamin C. You’ll stop falling sick.”
