Actress Triptii Dimri is facing significant backlash from women entrepreneurs in Jaipur after she allegedly skipped a scheduled appearance at a FICCI FLO (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organization) event focused on Nari Shakti (women empowerment).
The event was set to take place on Monday (September 30) evening at a hotel on JLN Marg, but it was abruptly canceled due to her absence, prompting organizers to call for a boycott of the actress and her upcoming film, Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
In a display of their discontent, several individuals were seen defacing Triptii’s posters at the event venue, sending a strong message of their dissatisfaction. The calls for a boycott gained momentum, with many insisting that Jaipur should stand united against her for not fulfilling her commitment.

Reports indicate that Triptii was expected to attend as the guest of honor, and many were looking forward to her participation. However, as the event unfolded, the actress did not arrive.
One of the female entrepreneurs involved in organizing the event shared her frustration, revealing that she had received a phone call indicating Triptii would arrive within five minutes. Despite this reassurance, she ultimately did not show up, leaving attendees disappointed.
The organizer disclosed that a deal had been made with Triptii for ₹5.5 lakh for her appearance at the event. Following her absence, they expressed intentions to file a legal case against the actress for breach of contract. The organizer's comments reflected a broader sentiment among attendees who felt cheated and let down by Triptii’s no-show.
Triptii Dimri is currently busy promoting her film Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which co-stars Rajkummar Rao. The film is a comedic take on a lost sex tape involving a newly-married couple from the '90s. Despite the controversy surrounding her event absence, the film is slated for release in theaters on October 11, where it will compete with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra.
As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how this backlash will impact Triptii's career and the reception of her upcoming film.
The incident serves as a reminder of the responsibilities that come with celebrity status, especially regarding commitments made to fans and event organizers.
