The romantic film Dhadak 2, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, is set for a theatrical release on August 1, 2025. This film is a follow up to 2018's Dhadak. Prior to hitting cinemas, the producers have chosen a strategic limited release approach, primarily targeting multiplex theaters.
As per a report by Pinkvilla, Dhadak 2 backed by Dharma Production is expected to have a limited theatrical release in India.
The producers are considering opening the film on approximately 1,000 to 12,000 screens nationwide, with screenings concentrated in city areas and primarily at multiplex theatre chains.
The plan involves expanding the number of theaters showing the film and highlighting this wide release during its debut weekend, with the exact theater count adjusted based on audience interest and demand.
The Dharma Productions team is confident that the film starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri will receive positive word of mouth. Hence, they have kept a tight release on its opening day.
If everything proceeds according to expectations, the producers will add more screenings on weekends. The opening day performance of the Dhadak sequel remains to be evaluated
Advance ticket sales for the film, directed by Shazia Iqbal are currently available.
The drama film is set to clash with Son of Sardaar 2 in theaters, as the film has revealed a promotional deal before its launch. Viewers can receive half-price tickets with savings of up to Rs. 200 on opening day for the film featuring Ajay Devgn.
Dhadak 2 is an adaptation of Mari Selvaraj's 2018 Tamil movie Pariyerum Perumal. The film features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in leading roles.
