Triptii Dimri, who recently garnered widespread attention after her bold portrayal in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, has been the subject of much conversation due to her "overtly sexualized" image. While the actress received both praise and backlash for her role in the film, she remains unapologetic about her choices and her approach to acting. In a candid conversation with Forbes India, Triptii opened up about her journey in the industry and her perspective on the criticisms she’s faced.

When asked about the controversy surrounding her image post-Animal, Triptii responded thoughtfully, acknowledging that every actor’s journey is different. She explained, "If I like a character or a story, I want to give it my hundred percent. Whether it works out or not, I put in my best." She emphasized the importance of staying true to one's beliefs, regardless of how the public perceives it. “There will be some people who like you and some who don’t. You can’t keep all that noise in mind,” she added. According to Triptii, the key is to follow one’s heart and trust the process, even if it means facing criticism.

In a particularly reflective moment, she noted that she could look back at certain decisions and think, "Arey, it was a mistake," but she made it clear that acting truthfully in the moment is what matters most. "In that moment, you were truthful, and you believed in it, so you know, do it with full honesty," she said.

Triptii also shared her experiences of playing vastly different roles, citing her character Zoya in Animal and Vidya in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video as examples. She described playing Vidya, who had a comedic essence, as particularly challenging. Comedy, she believes, is one of the most difficult genres to perform in, especially when surrounded by talented actors like Rajkummar Rao, Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, and Tiku Talsania. Despite the challenges, Triptii admitted she learned a great deal from the experience.

Reflecting on her overall career, Triptii explained that she isn’t deterred by the mixed reactions she receives, instead choosing to focus on her personal growth and learning from every project she takes on. For her, the key is authenticity—both in her work and in how she navigates the industry.

On the professional front, Triptii is currently working on Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara, where she stars alongside Shahid Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, and Nana Patekar. The highly anticipated film, backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, is set to release on December 5, 2025. Triptii's journey continues to be one of growth and exploration, as she takes on diverse roles and challenges herself with each new project.
