Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal to be summoned in Rs 2.4 crore cryptocurrency fraud case: Reports

Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal land in legal trouble

Actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal are reported to be summoned by the police for a cryptocurrency fraud case. The Puducherry police officials may question the actresses over their involvement in an alleged fraud.

According to reports by 123 Telugu, ex-soldier Ashokan of Moolakulam, Puducherry has filed a complaint against a Coimbatore-based firm which was established in 2022. He claimed in his complaint that he was cheated in the cryptocurrency investment scheme. He further claimed that he invested Rs 1 crore and persuaded his ten friends to invest Rs 2.4 crore.

He was also reportedly invited for the company’s launch event, which was notably attended by Tamannaah Bhatia. He was later invited to a function held in Mahabalipuram where Kajal Aggarwal was the chief guest. The reports have suggested that cars worth Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore were gifted to more than 100 investors at the function.

The police officials reportedly have sought clarification from Kajal and Tamannaah if they were merely endorsing the events for the company or if they had any financial involvement whatsoever. Tamannaah and Kajal are yet to address the reports.

On the work front, Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal have a series of films lined up for 2025-2026 release. Tamannaah recently graced the grand teaser launch event for her upcoming Telugu movie Odela 2. The film created history by launching the teaser at Mahakumbh 2025. Odela revolves around a village, and how its true saviour Odela Mallanna Swamy always protects his village from evil forces.

Meanwhile, Kajal will be next starring in the Salman Khan movie Sikandar. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar. Besides this, Kajal will also guest star as Devi Parvati in Vishnu Manchu’s forthcoming film Kannappa.
