Mass Jathara, a high-energy action movie with Ravi Teja, didn't do well at the box office, but it's currently on Netflix. This provides consumers a second chance to see it after it came out in theaters on October 31.
They were sure that the movie would be popular on OTT because they had previously secured the digital rights before it came out in theaters.
Some people were hopeful, but the movie didn't do as well at the box office as predicted.
Mass Jathara, which had Sreeleela as the main female character with a budget of Rs 50 - 70 crore, only grossed Rs 17.45 crore at the box office, which was less than what was expected.
OTT release
Mass Jathara is now on Netflix as of November 28, 2025. When it first came out, people had conflicting things to say about it. But its exciting tale and Ravi Teja's normal popularity helped it get noticed by average moviegoers. Now that the movie is available on OTT, it will probably reach a broader audience, especially those who missed its theatrical release.
A Brief Summary of the Story
Laxman Bheri (Ravi Teja) is an orphan who was reared by his uncle and works as a railway sub-inspector in Warangal. His everyday life gets nuts when he moves to Adivivaram, which is notorious for its massive marijuana smuggling operations. Laxman soon has to cope with a hazardous drug gang run by KG Reddy, who is also the head of Naveen Chandra's group. Things get worse when he takes a major shipment on its way to Kolkata, which starts a violent conflict for land and power.
Sreeleela plays Tulsi, who is in love with Laxman. She makes the story more emotional and adds some funny parts to it. There are a lot of stylized action scenes, dramatic fights, and catchy music in Mass Jathara that will make you want to dance. It is aimed to make people who like huge commercial movies happy.
