Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar recently surprised fans when he revealed his chest tattoo for the first time during a temple visit with his wife, Shalini, and their son, Aadvik.

The family’s serene spiritual outing, reportedly to a temple in Kerala, has since gone viral on social media after Shalini shared pictures from the visit on Instagram.

In the photos, Ajith is seen in a traditional dhoti, with a white cloth draped around him, while Shalini opted for a simple green ethnic outfit. Their son Aadvik matched his father’s attire, making the family look picture-perfect as they sought blessings together. One image shows Shalini applying tika on Ajith’s forehead as their son looks at the camera.

However, what caught everyone’s attention was Ajith’s chest tattoo, partially visible through his traditional attire. Fans were quick to identify it as the image of a Goddess. One user commented, “That tattoo is of Goddess Ootukulangara Bhagavathy, his family deity — the Kula Deivam of Palakkad Tamils. He visits the temple often.” Another wrote, “He has revealed his tattoo for the first time,” while one fan gushed, “Look at that tattoo. Wow. Thala for a reason.”

Sharing the pictures, Shalini captioned her post, “A day of blessings and togetherness…” with red and white heart emojis. The post has since flooded with adoring comments praising the actor’s simplicity and his close bond with his family.

Ajith, known for maintaining a low public profile, rarely shares glimpses of his personal life. In a recent interview with India Today, he opened up about the sacrifices that come with balancing his passion for motorsports and family life. “There are so many things that Shalini is handling. If not for her support, I wouldn’t be able to do all this. The children hardly get to see me, and I miss them as much as they miss me,” he shared.

Ajith and Shalini first met on the sets of Amarkalam in 1999 and tied the knot a year later. Shalini, once a popular actor herself, stepped away from films after marriage to focus on family life.

On the professional front, Ajith was last seen in Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly earlier this year.
