Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's new gangster movie They Call Him OG is already becoming a box office hit weeks before it comes out. Sujeeth directed the action-packed movie, which will be out around the world on September 25, 2025. However, advance sales have already broken records in the US market.
The movie's pre-release excitement has led to huge ticket sales at Cinemark Dallas, even more than Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, which is one of the most anticipated Telugu movies. Industry experts say that OG is on track to have the greatest premiere showing for a Telugu film in North America.
A Record-Breaking Release in the US
Venky Box Office says that Prathyangira Cinemas, the movie's distributor, has planned a big release for OG in other countries. The movie will be shown at 89 Cinemark XD locations, and that number is projected to go above 100, beating the record set by Pushpa 2 (81 screens). This means that OG is the Telugu film with the most XD releases in the area.
Prices of tickets and early collections
The demand has grown even more because of the high price of tickets. Standard programs cost $25, but premium formats like XD and PLF cost $30. Sales have been great, even if the prices are high.
Reports say that the movie has already locked in 631 shows at 174 locations, sold over 9,000 tickets, and made $267,231 in advance sales. Cinemark alone brought in $82,000, even though there aren't many shows open right now. With only a month left till the release, trade experts predict the numbers to go up a lot in the next several weeks.
Action Drama with a Lot of Stars
Pawan Kalyan plays a tough mob leader in They Call Him OG, and Emraan Hashmi plays the bad guy. Priyanka Arulmohan is a key player who gives the fast-paced story more emotional depth.
OG is on course to become one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters of 2025 thanks to its record-breaking advance sales, huge number of screens, and international excitement.
