Akshaye Khanna is the man of the moment. It’s not just his film Dhurandhar smashing records at the box office, but also his performance that has blown the audience away. The actor, who plays Rahman Dakait, has impressed not only with his action sequences and expressions this time, but also with his prosthetics, which have caught everyone’s attention.
The woman behind the transformation is none other than prosthetic artist Preetisheel Singh, who shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram. “Designing the legendary #AkshayeKhanna’s look for Dhurandhar was all about capturing the subtle intensity he brings to every frame,” she wrote.
Sharing pictures of the actor, she added, “We built his appearance around clean structures, controlled detailing and tones that highlight his strong features, paired with a suave, understated hairstyle that doesn’t overpower the character. Watching the look come alive through his performance made the entire process incredibly rewarding.”

She revealed that the actor was reminded of his father, Vinod Khanna, when he first saw the transformation.
She said that although the actor has worked with wigs before, she wanted to avoid any resemblance to his past looks and instead let his personality shine. “There is a suaveness in his character, where his mere presence commands attention. He doesn’t need to say much. I gave him soft waves and showed the receding hairline. It’s not a full head of hair. I remember during the trial, he was looking at himself in the mirror, telling me he was reminded of his late father, Vinod Khanna.”
